Furever Friends

End of Life Photography

I have always loved animals, stuffed or real my whole life. Every career day I showed up dressed as a vet with my stuffed dog under my arm and fixing all the sick dogs I came across at preschool. When I was older I made a choice that I would pursue photography over becoming a veterinarian when I realized what goes into that job past seeing all the lovely animals and giving vaccinations. That "past" part is what brings you to this page, there comes a time in a pets life that no one wants to think about, death....

Fast forward to this year, I got the best opportunity of my life, I got offered to work in a vet office, so the bright side is I see beautifully puppies and kitties, but working in a vet office I see the "past" side everyday unfortunately. Families walking in with their best friend and leaving with a rainbow bracelet on their wrist and a tissue in the other. I came up with this idea that I would offer these session to families that have come to this discussion and want to remember the old man that you have had some their could fit in your hand. The girl you put hair bows in their hair because their bangs were to long. For ill or getting old pets, I offer this service dedicated to celebrating their life and love you showed them.

I wanted to create a session that helps normalize the grief we feel after losing our best friend and I want to be there as a support to families going through this tough time. These sessions are very close to my heart, since I lost my best friend Sly in May 2018.

These sessions will provide you with memories of their personality, face, paws, nose, and most importantly, the way they looked at you. The photographs will be something you can cherish forever.

Furever Friends Sessions are often scheduled very short notice, but scheduling them as soon as you feel your pet's time is near will ensure availability and a more enjoyable session for your pet.

These sessions are complementary to you and your family, I can not charge for something that is the last thing you want to worry about when it comes to this process. What will be for sale is prints, canvas, books etc. If you are interested in these please add that in your booking process. These will be at a discounted price.

Sly Dog

Another reason I started this is in 2018 on Cinco de Mayo, I was coming home and called my mom to let her know where I was, I could tell something was off in her voice. My 120 pound boxer named Sly had to be put down due to an incident that happened with another dog. Something that he had never done before. I did not know this end of life photography existed, so I regret not doing this with my best friend everyday. I miss him everyday, I cherish the billion photos I have of him and us together, you never know how much you will miss doing it until you can't.
